A weekend of Family Fun

So we just returned home from our Annual Fredericksburg, TX trip and, oh what fun we had! We usually make this trip with all the adults in my family, but this year decided to take the kids along for the ride.
The third weekend in July the town celebrates "Old Night in Fredericksburg" and the town square is transformed into a big German festival. There are German bands playing, lots of German food to be eaten and a ton of vendors set up selling all sorts of fun things! This year they had a "mini" carnival area for the kids and boy, did we partake in that fun.
Bryleigh had a blast doing the body bungee. This is a contraption that they hook up around your waist and legs and you jump on a trampoline and then the bungee shoots you up into the air. She LOVED it! She also rode a mini Ferris wheel and mini helicopters that went around and up and down.
Addyson was a little disappointed that she wasn't tall enough to ride with big sister, but we found something she could do with her...get her face painted!

She was sooo cute. She sat there and did exactly as the lady told her. I was shocked when they both came running up to me to show me....it was a surprise for me! I couldn't believe that she sat there and let this stranger paint a huge butterfly over her face, especially that close to her eyes!!
We love our annual trip to this little, but amazing town and can't wait to do it all over again next July! Thanks to my mom and dad who make this trip what it is! Also, to my brother and sisters...we love you dearly and love the time we get to spend with you!
